Bottoms Up- Contero Brachetto d’Aqui 2012. Italy.

Brachetto d'aquiI been drinking. I been drinking. Okay, I’m not really much of a drinker because I’m not a great fan of alcohol but I do like a tipple every now and again. I am a particular drinker, I love sweet stuff so its no surprise that I love this sparkling bottle of most delicious wine; Brachetto D’Aqui 2012. Bottled from Brachetto, the black skinned red grape, in Piedmont the North-Western region of Italy, its full, sweet and rich. A delight on the palette and highly aromatic. Rich in berry flavours and laced with floral characters, it is the perfect aperitif or dessert wine if you wish to have it as so. But it’ll really serve as a splendid accompaniment to most anything. Its frothy to the taste but with a freshness that balances out the acidity and gives it a lovely finish. The mouthfeel is smooth, light and I’d go as far as saying sexy.

5.5% of alcohol.

Its a summer wine but really don’t wait till then to drink it. Its a true delight.

Available at all good retailers.

FYI- Drink responsibly. Do not drink and drive. Do not drink and text. Do not drink and operate heavy machinery. Do not drink and make an arse of yourself. Everything in moderation.
