THE SUMMER WEDDING OUTFIT

I don’t know when, or how, but the linen summers suit snuck in there and is making itself the undefeated wardrobe icon and I’m not mad at it. Its odd, most odd, that it has taken so long for this ensemble to become a mainstay. As you already know, I am a lover of dresses, always and forever but for a summer wedding this is a perfect wild card.
THE GUEST

This suit slaps like no other; as a dress girl, that is saying something. The wide leg pants, the off centre button jacket, the slick pleats in the trousers, the colour… I’ll tell you a secret, I am not big on purple of any kind in any shade so lavender is truly a hideous colour in my opinion. HATE IT. And do not even get me started on mauve what a stupid colour. BUT this lilac? (it is lilac no?) suit from Eudon Choi is the perfect summer wedding ensemble, so perfect even, I would wear it. Pair with shiny loafers or pointy flats; the suite is the scene stealer here so let it shine on its own. Throw on a wide brim hat with stark simplicity or, my preferred, let you hair fly free, curly fro, lazy waves, artistically styled bed hair, braids… whatever your preferred this suit will not be upstaged.
GUEST OF A GUEST

You’ve been roped into this by your friend who has no intention of flying solo to a summer wedding, you know the couple only by association to the main guest and you’re thinking hey, what the hell Saturday, nothing to do, a wedding in the country is not a bad idea; this is a perfect little ensemble. The floral detailing does not overwhelm, so its not too ditzy or flat, it is a sweet spot, the lace detail on the short add a flimsiness to it and the high collar gives it a touch of tease and makes the outfit perfectly appropriate.

Look, you do not know these people but your mates want you to tag along, everything is in the wash but you are not expected to follow a particular set of rules; matter of fact there are no rules for your to follow., you are only heading to the reception and afterparty after all. This is likely the only time you are allowed to wear a tank top to a wedding. Never mind that you are not following protocol of a wedding attendee; this outfit is perfect. Work it with tan sandals and a suave clutch, push out the boat with an angled floral fascinator… you are good to go.
