Sa Finca- Santa Eulalia, Ibiza

One of the best things about travelling is the cuisine, whether local or fine, I enjoy discovering new cuisines. I am not the most adventurous eater, but I’d eat anything once, except for bugs etc. I recently returned from a workish trip with 45 other people for four days in Ibiza. One of the nights we dined out at this local restaurant, Sa Finca. I found it on trip advisor, its the top rated restaurant on there for this area actually. And what a treasure. You know a restaurant is good when all 45 guests finish everything on their plate, all three courses.

Sa Finca is housed in a 400 year old house atop a hill that overlook all of Santa Eulalia. They only open in the evening from 1900 to 2300 to keep up the standards and the owners live behind the restaurant. Its a pretty special and rare find. The area is quiet, properly residential if a little further out but the rewards outweigh the journey. Trust me.

Now onto the food. In one word; DIVINE. I communicated directly with the chef who went above and beyond to accommodate our rambunctious party, putting together a special menu, right down to the most particular of eaters, even last minute changes. We had champagne, lots of really good wine, you should trust the wine recommendation, and delicious aperitif. I had duck salad for starters, lobster for mains, and the most incredibly delicious belgian chocolate moose for dessert… heaven on earth.

The overall experience was above and beyond my expectations, especially for such a large party. Joss, Eric, Sophie and their other waiters were such a lovely accommodating bunch. I would recommend this over and over again. I would visit Santa Eulalia just to dine here again.
