Stay- ME HOTEL, Santa Eulalia

As if you couldn’t tell from my instagram already, I was recently on a much needed holiday to Santa Eularia, in Ibiza. What a pleasant time it was. It was my first time in Ibiza, famous for being a party town but this side of town was the more mellow, more swish party crowd. I stayed at the über gorgeous, über, über sexy ME hotel and was fittingly transported to another realm, holiday in style. I arrived very late, 2am, and was greeted with a very pleasant and sparkly receptionist. Even at that hour. I was offered a glass of delicious sangria and swiftly checked into my room, a bell hop appeared immediately out of nowhere and politely insisted on carrying my bags up in the lift.
When I stepped into my room, I was greeted firstly by fresh, fresh, air and that feeling of welcome. I loved it. For a standard room its very nice, mood lit, which they call sexy lighting, lol, overlooking the town, flat screen against the wall, a chic minibar with some fifty shades of grey trickery going in… 😉
As far as hotels go, and I’ve stayed in a few, this is a lovely, lovely hotel with a seriously cool vibe. In the day time there is a DJ playing by the pool, and a few yards to the right, literally next door is Nikki Beach, the local hot spot right on the cusp of the beach. And to the left, walking past some mini cliffs that made me anxious, is another beach and the famous El Bigote restaurant. Let me tell you about this place, its so good that the King of Spain was turned away when he turned up without reservation. Its a local fish restaurant that catches, kills it that day and serves it up. After three tries I finally got a reservation and wouldn’t you know it, I sprained my goddamn ankle and I tried, really tried to make it but eventually had to throw the towel in. If you want to go to this restaurant its best to stay at the ME as they will only take phone reservations from the hotel. The locals cannot speak highly enough of this place so you know its a good’un.
Back to my hotel room, it was really well laid out and the bed was SUPER comfortable I was most satisfied with just lying in bed all day. There are two restaurants one of the rooftop and another at the pool level; The Rooftop and Sea and Salt, serving really good food into the small hours, the club sandwich from room service is bar none the best I’ve ever had. I love the view from both places, but the roof top completely takes your breath away, that’s the view in the first image. Oh and there a private infinity pool section with balinese style beds where you have to reserve complete with champagne and perfect sun…yup that’s where I met my city boys and their wives, luxuriating. The food is on point, but breakfast at the ME is UNREAL, they have EVERYTHING; juice, champagne, cake…RED VELVET CAKE! For breakfast?! YESSS!! Naturally, I was in heaven.
On my last night I changed to a suite…lets just say, its probably the best night I’ve spent in a hotel, it was a proper one bed suite, with a walk in wardrobe, bath tub overlooking the sea, a shower big enough for ten and a lovely double terrace with the most amazing views. I did not want to leave…
The service all through the stay was exceptional, considering I was with a party of 45 people and no one had anything negative to say about the hotel. I would stay there again and again.
